By revitalising the townhouse that sits on the corner at Dietla and Orzeszkowej—originally built in the early 20st century—we have initiated farther-ranging changes throughout this downtown frontage: towards a deserved, impressive presence.
The Art-Nouveau elevation, decorated with mouldings, was renewed completely. Works also included roofing, and adapting the attic for comfortably habitable lofts.
Mindful restoration activities, consulted with Lesser Poland’s Monument Conservator, breathed an air of greatness back into the building’s corridors and stairwells.
Interiors owe their new life to a careful renovation of polychromes—these adorn ceilings as well as walls—and of metallic balustrades. Complementary painted decorations were made in the monochromatic tapping technique.
