In the post-industrial tissue of Zabłocie, on Wałowa and Na Dołach, we built a group of three entirely modern buildings. Catering to buyers’ needs were flats that varied in size—ranging up to 60 square metres—each with a dedicated parking space in the underground garage as well as a balcony, a terrace, or a loggia.
The complex, as a whole, followed coherent architectural principles determined by the character of adjacent developments. The moderate scale and the composed shape applied to individual units allow to think of these as townhouses of the 21st century. This is particularly true considering how windows have been arranged, for their glazed balustrades, and because of the high quality of finish—achieved, among other means, through the use of ceramic tiles sourced from proven Southern European producers.
Intended as reinstitution of urban planning order in the area and inserting a couple of missing elements in its historic frontages, the property supplied residential and commercial functionalities much needed at the time in that part of Kraków. In this way, Frena gave rise to a progressive trend in the wider district, which is a favoured living destination at the moment: a lively hub for business and culture, with dozens of hip eateries on top.
